Founded on 21st Jan. 1973 by revered Madhav Sadashiv Rao Golvalkar and run by Vidya Bharti, an all India educational organisation which runs more than 24,000 schools, Gita Niketan Awasiya Vidyalya aims at providing quality education based on Indian moral values to the students. Besides having made manifold progress since its inception, the school enjoys the reputation of being a prestigious institution in North India.

Current Status:Known for its distinctive ethical ambience and an aura of mystic and moral discipline, Gita Niketan Awasiya Vidyalaya is a co-educational day cum residential senior secondary school which currently accommodates 1500 scholars. The school has its own in-campus fully furnished hostel named Luv-Kush Hostel where residential facility is available for boy-scholars only.

The hostel is a proud host with its resident students coming from the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, U.P., Delhi, J&K, Himachal, Rajasthan, Sikkim, West Bengal and a number of North Eastern states. The day schooling for classes 6th to 12th is available both for boys and girls and currently the school has the best of scholars from Kurukshetra city and other surrounding towns. The teaching faculty of the school comprises of about 50 well-trained and experienced mentors.
